I received my $600 tax rebate check last Thursday or so and I was going to put it in my savings.
Well, that flew out the window today for this is what I bought this afternoon.
Yep, an Apple iPhone.

I have been in Tulsa, Oklahoma since last Sunday and won't leave until Saturday afternoon.
I am staying at Candlewood Suites, an extended-stay motel. It has a full kitchenette - Fridge, dishwasher, top stove and sink. Love it. I haven't used the stove nor the dishwasher since I have no use for it.
Did stop by the Super Target to get breakfast stuff though for the fridge. That was great.
Today is a messy day weather-wise. Cloudy and windy at 6:30 am. Some kind of warning is out for tonight I hear. I am in Tornado ally, so have to look out for that.

I know about long trips. I traveled from St.Louis to Chicago to London to Accra, Ghana back in 2004. Yep, long trip.

Believe it or not, but tonight was the first time I heard of Life Blogging. The concept of blogging about everything that you do in your life and either record it by cam, audio or whatever.
It sounds interesting to do...maybe for a day or two. I don't know if I want to let everyone know what goes on in my life. Privacy, you know. Besides, I ain't Mr. Popular and I am known to curse more worse than a sailor. Sooooo..
But here is a fascinating article (Thanks Joe!) that talks about Life Blogging and what it encompasses.

I am so glad it's Friday.
The last week hasn't been too bad actually, but it is so good to finally relax and chill out.
Tomorrow I do have to work at my other "part-time" job, but it's not really a job. I am part of the Event Staff at the University Missouri here in town. The Mizzou Tigers mens have a game against Nebraska at the Mizzou Arena. Hopefully they will win. They need a win. That's 10:30 am till about 5 pm. Not bad.
Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. A friend invited me over to his house to watch. The both of us are not really football fans. It's mostly for the commericals, but also for the social event. There will be others there as well. It should be fun.
The weather here in Missouri and the Midwest is COLD. High today was in the high teens or low twenties. Low is about 5 or so. Jumpin Jack rabbits. This has been the coldest winter in most recent memory, at least my memory. It's usually in the 30's or 40's. We had more snow than last year, I know that.

I am usually not anti-Winter, but I am so ready for Spring. The cold and the snow and the ice - Argh, enough to say bah humbug to it all.
Anyway, I am here at Pandera again. going to be staying here for a while, just cruising the net.
